I still remember the sun was coming up when I finally fell asleep.ĭamn! Great thread OP. First time in my life I was able to go past midnight being awake. I was so happy that at least Hercules was playable. The character moved in the direction I wanted it to move.

I sucked at that one too, but I was able to play it. Wait, wich is the button for shooting?", so I thought the game was defective, took it out and started playing Hercules. I was like "why doesn't she move to left when I press left?! Stop spinning!. Man I cannot describe how eager I was to play Resi 3 and when it started, everything was in english and I couldn't understand shit! Somehow I managed to start playing and I slammed against a second wall: Tank Controls.Īs I was a child it never crossed my mind that the problem was me. Later in life I asked "Santa" for a Play Station and got one! It came with Disney's Hercules and Resident Evil 3. I want yo say monsters, but I'm not sure, and I had to jump all over the screen and kill stuff. I remember I played as a dude that shoot energy balls to.

It had nothing to do with the Street Fighter franchise. The thing is I had only 1 game and it was called STREET FIGHTER. Like cereal in my house was called "chocapic", or toilet paper is called comfort, you get the gist. Wich Nintendo? I don't know because in my country is common to generalize a brand name as a product. I don't remember how or when, but my first console was a Nintendo. This is a great thread for me because my gaming backstory is absolute shit! I keep seeing people who grew up playing all of these classics meanwhile I’m like “I 100%ed all of Gladstone’s challenges and got all the clothing options”

Then in primary school I saw a kid play GTA Liberty City on PSP, which angered my mother but still got me a PSP after begging for it, where I played Ratchet and Clank, MediEvil Resurrection, Lego Star Wars and that Jak game no-one likes.

My first game was probably Chicken Invaders and the games I remember playing was Donald Duck Quack Attack, 102 Dalmatians, a few other Disney games, some EuroShmups, Spongebob Graphic Adventures and Age of Empires 2 (which was the first “proper” game I ever played) I also had a demo disc for Rayman 2 but didn’t have the full game.

My family was not at all into videogames, I grew up around my older relatives and both my parents were not gamers, so I only had a PC for my first 8 or so years. I always see people that are like “oh my first game was Mario” or “I grew up with Morrowind and GTA” and compared to that, my background is very meh.
